Collect data
Gather time-series data with high fidelity from any source. To collect operations data natively from a wide range of legacy and proprietary assets, as well as SCADA and other control systems, choose from hundreds of off-the-shelf PI Adapters, PI Connectors, and PI Interfaces.
Store and enhance data
With full performance, store years of operations data, PI Server, the industry’s most accurate and hardened historian for operations info, is at the heart of the PI Core portfolio. Engineers and analysts will see patterns, find anomalies, and dig down to the information with PI Server’s Data Archive, which optimizes storage and access to large amounts of operations data.
For faster insight, look at data in context. Asset Framework is used in the PI Server for data organization and structuring. Using reusable data structures, merge similar data streams from equipment, process lines, or facilities into a single view. By referencing rather than replicating data, you can add context to time-series data by using relational data from other systems. Raw data streams should be classified so that even non-experts will understand reports. Right out of the box, Asset Framework offers asset analytics, built-in estimates, event monitoring, and configurable notifications.
